A directional measuring device for a core of a boring machine is provided to check structure of stratum simply by marking direction of a core sample with a marking member attached to the end of the directional measuring device slid into an inclined bore hole. A directional measuring device(40) for a core of a boring machine comprises a cylinder body(41), a front end cap(42), a marking member(43), and a rear end cap(44). The body extends in a longitudinal direction. The front end cap is attached to the front end and has inlets(42a) through which water flows into the body. The marking member is installed to the front end cap to mark direction of a core on a rock. The rear end cap has outlets(44a) through which water in the body is discharged and a ring(44b). A wire is linked to the ring of the rear end cap.
