A heater is provided to shorten time taken for pre-heating, by supplying hot water into a heating tank from a pre-heating tank at the state where hot water is supplied to a heating pad from the heating tank. A heater includes a water tank(10), a hot water tank(20), a heating pad(30), and a temperature sensor(100). The water tank has a cap valve(18) arranged in a water injection port, and a transparent window for checking the level of water stored in the water tank. The hot water tank is directly connected to the water tank through a water supply check valve, and has a heating tank(23) equipped with a heater(24). The heating tank is arranged in a pre-heating tank(21) equipped with a pre-heater(22). A check valve(40) is arranged in the heating tank, and shuts to discharge hot water to a discharge pipe(60) and circulate hot water to the heating pad when steam pressure is increased in the heating tank and opens to permit hot water in the pre-heating tank to flow into the heating tank when steam pressure is removed. The heating pad is mounted with a hose(31) to which hot water heated by the heating tank is supplied through the discharge pipe equipped with a check valve(70) for preventing backflow of hot water. Hot water passed through the hose circulates through a circulation pipe(80) connected to the water tank. The temperature sensor is mounted on the circulation pipe, and outputs a signal for controlling operation of the heater and the pre-heater such that the temperature of hot water is maintained at a predetermined level. |
