The invention relates to a receiving device (1) for accommodating a medical apparatus (2). Said receiving device (1) comprises a receptacle (6) encompassing a receptacle jacket (7) that embodies a distal end and a proximal end (9, 10), and a front wall (11) which is arranged in the area of the distal end (9). The receptacle jacket (7) and the front wall (11) delimit a receiving chamber (12) that defines an internal cross-section (14) perpendicular to a longitudinal axis (8). A holding mechanism (21) comprises at least one holding element (23) which protrudes from an internal surface (22) of the receptacle jacket (7) in the direction of the longitudinal axis (8). Said holding element (23) is configured so as to be automatically adjustable from a locking position, in which the holding element (23) extends into the interior cross-section (14) of the receiving chamber (12) and engages with the medical apparatus (2) that is to be inserted, into a releasing position, in which the holding element (23) releases the medical apparatus (2), by performing a relative adjusting movement between the medical apparatus (2) that is to be inserted and the receptacle jacket (7) in the direction of the longitudinal axis (8). |
