The assembly has longitudinal beam (18) fixed on an articulation unit (24) to extend towards the interior of a railway car. The beam is made of composite material e.g. resin based material reinforced by fibers such as Kevlar(RTM: light, strong para-aramid synthetic fiber). The articulation unit is fixed on a lower crosspiece (16) which is made of the composite material.
