A sun visor for a vehicle is provided to simplify the structure and reduce the weight of the sun visor by enabling left/right sliding of an expansion plate, by using guide rods installed at the upper and lower sides of a rod of a pivot arm fixed to a roof. A sun visor for a vehicle comprises a body(10), an expansion plate(20), a pivot arm(110) and a guide assembly(120). The pivot arm has one side coupled to a roof, and the other side having a cylindrical section bent in the horizontal direction. The pivot arm comprises a rod(111) fixed to the body and a first guide bracket(112) formed with first and second guide holes. The guide assembly comprises first and second guide rods(121,122) and a second guide bracket(123). The first and second guide rods are inserted into the first and second guide holes such that the first and second guide rods slide. The second guide bracket is fixed to the ends of the first and second guide rods to slide along the rods.
