A stopper in a slide opening and closing apparatus is provided to minimize the number of stoppers and dampers and improve assembly efficiency and productivity by stopping a sub plate, which makes a sliding motion from a main plate, with a small number of stoppers. An opening and closing apparatus in a portable terminal comprises a main plate(110), an elastic member(130), and a stopper. A protrusion member is fixed to the main plate(110). The protrusion member is composed of a rib, which is erected from the main plate(110). The rib is combined with a bracket(140) to reinforce supporting force toward the contact direction of a pair of hooking members, which selectively get caught on the protrusion member. A damper(150) is combined around the rib and the bracket(140). The hooking members are composed of a pair of hooking chips which are bent and formed from the sub plate(120). At the rib, the first hooking part is formed to prevent the bracket(140) from being separated upwards. At the bracket(140), the second hooking part is formed to prevent the damper(150) from being separated upwards.
