A metal bipolar plate for a fuel cell is provided to realize an improved air tight sealing structure as compared with a conventional structure using a rubber seal, while increasing the productivity. A metal bipolar plate for a fuel cell has an air tight structure formed by carrying out pulse laser welding of flange portions(111,121) of two bipolar plates(110,120) stacked with each other, and includes a plurality of protrusions. The flange portions of the two bipolar plates have a different width, and fillet welding is performed along the end of the flange portion with a smaller width. The flange portions further include embossed portions capable of being engaged with each other. |
