The reader has a protection lip (2) enclosing a working cavity and with properties permitting bending of the lip. The lip has a S shape during its contact with a stopper (53) of a drive hole (51) of a detachable optical disk (5) and is returned in an insertion direction. An optimal relation is defined between the thickness of the lip and a free height of the lip for minimizing effort required for returning the lip in an automatic reinsertion direction. The lip is clamped between a rear of a facade (12) of the reader and a disk guide.
