An upright cleaner is provided to discharge dust to a body through a connect port by projecting a partition in an intake passage. An upright cleaner comprises a body having a fan motor, an intake port(22), an intake brush(20) having an intake passage(27), a rotary drum(30), and a partition(28). The intake port for an intake of dust is connected with the body. One end of the intake brush is connected with the intake port. The intake passage is formed at the other end of the intake brush to be connected with the body. The rotary drum is installed in the intake brush and operated by the fan motor. The partition is formed at the intake passage to prevent sucked dust from being rotated along the rotary drum.
