The device has an acquisition device whose injection device injects fuel quantities divided equally to required fuel quantity to carry out feedback control constituting to return a detected value of rotation speed of an output shaft of an internal combustion conforming to a target value. Another acquisition device acquires estimated injection characteristics of an injector (16) of the engine by its estimation device in an operating zone of the engine, and the former acquisition device acquires the characteristics based on the fuel quantity in other zones. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling fuel injection.
