A list search method of a mobile terminal is provided to allow a user to quickly select a desired item regardless of the number of items on a list. A list display request is inputted in a mobile terminal in a standby state(S11). A controller displays a corresponding list(S13). The controller discriminately displays an uppermost item among the multiple items of the list(S14). When a user inputs a certain key(S15), the controller checks whether the inputted key is a number key(S16). When the inputted key is a number key, the controller extracts movement interval data corresponding to the inputted number(S17). The controller checks whether the extracted movement interval data is valid(S18). When the movement interval data is valid, the controller searches items positioned below by the extracted movement interval data from a current item where a cursor is located and positions the cursor on the corresponding item(S19). The controller waits for a key input(S20). When the item on which the cursor is positioned is an item to be executed by the user, the user inputs an execution key and controller conducts a command with respect to the corresponding item(S21).
