<p>There is provided a method of manufacturing salifying sol including sericite and onion-peel particles. The salifying sol is used to coat interior materials for a door, a shelf, and furniture, for example. In the method, sericite powder, onion peel powder, and water are agitated to form a first composition by nano-pulverization, and the first composition is mixed with sodium chloride and methanol to form a second composition. Solid matter is separated from the second composition to collect filtrate from the second composition. The filtrate is swelled by adding hydrogen peroxide to the filtrate. Then, the swelled filtrate is rapidly cooled to room temperature so as to obtain salifying sol. The salifying sol can be used for forming a thin layer of salifying sol on an interior material to prevent various harmful organic compounds and volatile substances included in the interior material from diffusing. Furthermore, the thin layer of salifying sol prevents generation of mildew.</p> |
