A natural antiviral agent by using Weissella sp. is provided to improve inhibitory effects on virus infection and safety of application by removing side effects, so that the antiviral agent is applicable to food, feed, drink, functional food and medicines. A natural antiviral agent contains Weissella sp. which is selected from Weissella koreensis(KCTC 10400BP), Weissella hanii, Weissella kimchii, Weissella soli and Weissella confusa and isolated from kimchi, its pulverized solution, cultured medium, concentrated solution, dried product or a mixture thereof. An antiviral composition comprises the Weissella koreensis(KCTC 10400BP), wherein the daily dosage of the antiviral composition is 0.0001-100 mg/kg.
