PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus which is mounted on a head or a face detachably, can watch the image and listen to a sound, is always supported on the head stably without incurring a complexity and an expensive cost of the apparatus and without being influenced by a shape and a size of the person to mount the apparatus and by a difference of ears position of the person, controls a sound leakage, and provides the sound filled with an enough feeling of being at a live performance. SOLUTION: The image display apparatus which is mounted on the head or the face detachably and can watch the image and listen to the sound is provided with a long scale-shaped temple to be supported by a side portion of the head or the ears at mounting it, a loudspeaker capable of inserting a sound generating face into nearby opening portions of the ears, and a position adjusting means to support the loudspeaker detachably to the temple and movably along almost parallel face to the side portion of the head at least.
