PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of performing an operation matching to regional and environmental difference and user's preference without increasing cost by loading large volumes of storing portion and programs in a control device of the air conditioner. SOLUTION: This air conditioner comprises a heat exchanger, a blower and the control device in a main body, the control device comprises a reading device for reading data stored in a memory card, and operational functions are set on the basis of the data. Thus the operational functions of the air conditioner according to the optional data input in the memory card in advance can be set without increasing cost by loading the large volumes of storing portion and programs in the control device of the air conditioner. As the data on the operational functions capable of coping with installation environment and user's preference is stored in the memory card, the operation matching to the regional and environmental difference and user's preference can be performed.
