PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently change the direction of a large number of small articles. SOLUTION: This article direction changing device comprises a first disk body 3 formed by arranging article storage recesses 15 along the peripheral edge of one surface and disposed rotatably with its rotating axis positioned horizontal and a second disk body 4 formed by arranging article storage parts 16 on the peripheral surface and disposed rotatably with its rotating axis positioned vertical. The second disk body 4 is so disposed under the first disk body 3 as to be rotated in synchronism with each other with their respective peripheral edges and peripheral surfaces face each other. The direction of the articles are changed by falling each of the articles 40 in each storage recess 15 of the first disk body 3 into each storage recess 16 of the second disk body 4 during the synchronous rotation.
