PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a housing deformed because of action of external force is insufficiently recovered by frictional force between a pressing member and a screen even after the external force is eliminated when the housing is deformed because the external force acts on the housing in the conventional screen holding structure, therefore image distortion is caused by deviation still existing at the relative position of an optical engine and the screen. SOLUTION: The projection device is equipped with pressing members 201 and 203 pressing and holding the peripheral sides of the screen 20 in the direction of a screen surface, and is constituted so that the pressing force to the upper side of the screen 20 by the pressing member 201 may be smaller than that to the lower side thereof by the pressing member 203.
