PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a noise signal generated resulting from the light emission switching among linear light emitters, in a radiation image recording/reading apparatus including: a radiation image detector that records the radiation image by generating a charge by the irradiation with radioactive rays to carry the radiation image and storing the generated charge, and also, that reads the stored charge generated by the irradiation with reading light; a surface light source where many linear light emitters for emitting the reading light are arrayed; and a detecting part having an integral amplifier for integrating the charge flowing out of the radiation image detector, wherein the radiation image is read while successively switching the light emission among many linear light emitters. SOLUTION: The light emission of the linear light emitter is controlled so that the light emission may be switched among the linear light emitters during the integration period of the integral amplifier.
