[Also in Group XVII] An endless belt conveyer is pivoted through 90 degrees about a pin 189 to enable it to eject boxes from a side or alternatively from an adjacent end of a box-making machine. The conveyer has a portion 196 which is retracted into the main part 186 of the conveyer before pivoting, latches 210 at each side locking the two parts in the.extended position. A pin 214 engaging a bracket 215 on a sub-frame carrying the conveyer locks the conveyer in each of its two positions. The conveyer belt is driven by a belt 217 passing round a pulley 218 slidable on its drive-shaft 38 so that both positions of the conveyer can be accommodated. In the position shown, the belt 217 passes round the pulley 193 on one end of a shaft 191 and before pivoting the conveyer the belt is removed and after pivoting is passed round a pulley at the other end of shaft 191.
