PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further surely and accurately determine a continuous misfire of two cylinders in an internal combustion engine with a plurality of cylinders capable of outputting motive power to a driving shaft via a torsional element. When determining as the continuous misfire of the two cylinders, a misfire cylinder is specified (S140 to S190), by subtracting a second phaseθ2, by adding a first phaseθ1 determined on the basis of an engine speed Ne of an engine and a gear stage of a transmission to a crank angle CA of a reference position of a post-filter rotating speed FN30 provided by applying a band-pass filter to a 30-degree rotating speed FN30 being a rotating speed with every 30 degrees of the crankshaft.
