PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tatami-covered floor structure which enables a tatami mat to be easily laid all over the floor surface of a bathroom etc., and which can facilitate maintenance such as the replacement of damaged tatami facing. SOLUTION: A plurality of tatami core materials 11 are spread over the laying surface of the washing place 2 of the bathroom, and a base member 13 is arranged around the plurality of tatami core materials 11. A wall section is erected throughout the length of the base member 13 in the center portion of the base member 13, and brought into close contact with a side surface of the tatami core material 11. Surfaces of the respective tatami core materials 11 are each covered with the tatami facing 12; both end of the tatami facing 12 are inserted into an engaging groove which is formed in the base member 13; and an engaging portion of the cover member 16 is inserted and fixed. A tatami edge portion of the cover member 16 conceals a boundary between the tatami core materials 11, so that this tatami-covered floor structure can present an appearance wholly similar to that of the conventional tatami-covered floor structure.
