PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semi-molten metal casting apparatus with which when the semi-molten metal or semi-solidified metal-state casting material is cast into a cavity of a mold, intrusion of oxide into a cast product is restrained to prevent deterioration in strength of the cast product. SOLUTION: The semi-molten metal casting apparatus 1 is provided with at least a means 10 for removing an oxidized film (f) formed on the surface of a semi-molten state billet B, and casts using the billet B from which the oxidized film is removed. The means 10 for removing oxidized film is at least provided with; a slit forming means 20 for forming the slit (s) on the billet surface; a means 40 for blowing gas against the billet B; and a heating means 33 for heating the blowing gas in a prescribed range of the temperature.
