摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for controlling a supply amount of molten metal capable of quantitatively supplying molten metal in a compact structure with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for controlling the supply amount of molten metal installs a first communication conduit 22, a molten metal metering chamber 33, a second communication conduit 34, and a molten metal retaining chamber 35, which are made to sequentially communicate. In the first communication conduit 22, a molten metal supply port 3a communicating with an injection sleeve 3 is located above a discharge port for molten metal 37 communicating with the molten metal metering chamber 33. The discharge port for molten metal 37 is formed so as to be located at the lowest part on the side face of the molten metal metering chamber 33. In the second communication conduit 34, a first molten metal transferring port 39 communicating to the molten metal metering chamber is located above a second molten metal transferring port 43 communicating to the molten metal retaining chamber 35. The first molten metal transferring port 39 is formed so as to become the height equal to the first bath level L<SB>0</SB>, and the height H of the second communication conduit 34 is larger than the height h of a molten metal supply system on sides of the first communication conduit 22 and the injection sleeve 3.
