[PROBLEMS] A window regulator having a wire slack removal mechanism preventing an outer tube from separating from guide means. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The wire slack removal mechanism has the outer tube (201), a tube holding section (207), a spring (209), and a separation inhibition means (projection (213), long hole (211)). The outer tube (201) is placed between a portion near a drum (65) and a portion near a wire guidance member, has a wire (71) laid inside it, and is connected at its end, which is located on the wire guidance member side, to a member where the wire guidance member is provided. The tube holding section (207) is provided on a member where the drum (65) is provided. That portion of the outer tube (201) which is on the drum (65) side is movably engaged with the tube holding section (207), and the tube holding section (207) guides that portion to the axial direction of the outer tube (201). The spring (209) urges that portion of the outer tube (201) which is on the drum (65) side in the direction to separate that portion from the drum (65). The separation inhibition means inhibits separation of the outer tube (201) from the tube holding section (207).
