<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous carrier which can be industrially mass-produced and has excellent resistance to sulfur poisoning, a catalyst using the porous carrier, and a method for producing of mixed gas of a C1 component and hydrogen in the steam reforming reaction of sulfur-containing hydrocarbon using the catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The porous carrier is a composite oxide comprising at least aluminum and magnesium, and has a BET specific surface area of 10-300 m<SP>2</SP>/g, an average pore diameter of ≤300 Å, and a pore volume of ≥0.1 cm<SP>3</SP>/g. Silica, boehmite, titania, zirconia and the like are mixed with the porous carrier, and active species metal is supported on the mixture to obtain a catalyst, which is used for steam-reforming hydrocarbon raw material with total sulfur content of ≤50 ppm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
