DIESEL EXHAUST GAS PURIFYING STRUCTURE AND EXHAUST GAS PURIFYING METHOD USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diesel exhaust gas purifying structure having simple construction for sufficiently removing PM even at a relatively low temperature, sufficiently suppressing the thermal deterioration of a NOx remover, and activating the removal of NOx with high durability and with no need for complicated temperature control while sufficiently removing NOx in a wide temperature range.

SOLUTION: The diesel exhaust gas purifying structure comprises an exhaust pipe 2 connected to a diesel engine 1, a PM remover 3 arranged in an exhaust passage of the exhaust pipe 2 and having an oxidation catalyst containing ceria and silver, and the NOx remover 4 arranged in the exhaust passage of the exhaust pipe 2 and having a NOx selective reduction type catalyst containing zeolite and transition metal supported by the zeolite.
