<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil for an internal combustion engine which eliminates the fear of breakage of a pipe end when mounted on/dismounted from an engine. <P>SOLUTION: An ignition coil for an internal combustion engine is equipped with a primary coil and secondary coil, a core magnetically coupling the two coils, an insulating case for storing the coils and core, an upper socket for introducing high voltage generated on the secondary coil side to an ignition plug through a high voltage tower formed on the lower end of the insulating case by controlling energization and interception of primary current flowing through the primary coil, and a pipe. A slit part is provided to the upper end of the pipe, which eliminates the fear of breakage of a pipe end when mounted on/dismounted from an engine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
