<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for measuring speed of physiological phenomena. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic device and method 40 includes a means to set a time interval for collection of a set of physiological data (42, 44, 46, and 48), and take in the number of physiological phenomena generated during the time interval. The electronic device and method 40 is further composed to calculate the number of the phenomena per min., and display the result for a user. The device may be embodied as a hand-held device.
