PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component attaching device to improve the recyclability by pulling out a boss from a metal clip without damaging the boss, to facilitate inserting the boss, and improve the locking force for an attaching hole. SOLUTION: The attaching device is provided with the boss 10 having an enlarged diameter part 11, and the metal clip 30. The metal clip 10 comprises a U-shaped leg 11, a first engaging shoulder 35 engaged with the backside periphery of the attaching hole 7, a locking projection 37, a flange 39 engaged with the front side periphery of the attaching hole 7, a second engaging shoulder 45 formed by separating from the first engaging shoulder 35 via a slit 44, a pair of elastic clamping pieces 47 capable of bending, and an engagement part 49 having a dog-leg shape, engaged with the enlarged diameter part 11 of the boss 10. By pulling a component 1 tensely for a component 5 to be attached, the engagement part 49 having the dog-leg shape can be pulled out between the elastic clamping pieces 47 without biting into the boss 10 so as to improve the recyclability.
