PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water temperature sensor mounting structure for an internal combustion engine, capable of simplifying the shape of a cylinder head while suppressing the protrusion of a water temperature sensor. SOLUTION: The water temperature sensor mounting structure for the internal combustion engine comprises a cylinder block 32 forming a cylinder bore, the cylinder head 33 having a head side water jacket 102, and the water temperature sensor 103 for detecting the temperature of water in the cylinder head 33.
