PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module for easily and accurately mounting an optical fiber. SOLUTION: A plurality of the optical fibers 23 is held by a lower holding substrate 21 and an upper holding substrate 22 while previously aligning in parallel and aligning one end in a direction perpendicular to an optical axis. One end of the optical fiber 23 can be arranged at a prescribed position only by mounting the lower holding substrate 21 of a fiber unit 1 on a mounting part 16 of a main block 1.
