PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which yarn protrusion during an interlacing treatment is prevented without deteriorating strength and elongation and a multifilament yarn having excellent uniformity and bundling properties of interlacements can be produced with high productivity and to provide an apparatus for a fluid treatment performing the method. SOLUTION: The apparatus for the fluid treatment includes a yarn passage, a fluid jetting hole communicating with the yarn passage for jetting a fluid onto the running yarn and a yarn passage member in which a yarn introduction passage having an opening opened to the yarn passage for leading the yarn to the yarn passage is formed. The apparatus is composed so that a value obtained by integrating the pressure in the passage direction of the yarn during jetting of the fluid at the opening is negative.
