PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle capable of making an air-conditioning circumstance of an occupant in an indoor rear seat more comfortable. SOLUTION: A rear vent draft air duct D3 to blast air-conditioning air to the rear seat 22 of a vehicle room 23, a rear vent draft air duct D5 to blast the air-conditioning air to an upper part of a front seat 21 and a change-over door 27 to change these draft air ducts D3, D5 over to each other are provided on the downstream side of a draft air duct 2. Consequently, the air-conditioning air is directly supplied to the rear seat 22 from a rear blowout port 31 by supplying the air-conditioning air through the rear vent draft air duct D3. Additionally, the air-conditioning air is indirectly supplied to the rear seat 22 by circulating the air-conditioning air in the vehicle room 23 by supplying it through the upper vent draft air duct D5 and delivering it to the upper part of the front seat 21 as the occupant of the rear seat 22 changes the draft air duct to the upper vent draft air duct D5 from the rear vent draft air duct D3 by operating an operation part.
