<p>The present invention is directed to beverage compositions comprising a preservative system comprising cinnamic acid and at least one weak acid chosen from benzoic acid, sorbic acid, alkali metal salts of benzoic and/or sorbic acid, and mixtures thereof; at least one beverage component chosen from juices, sweeteners, and mixtures thereof; and water, wherein the composition has a pH ranging from about 2.4 to about 4.5, with the proviso that the composition does not comprise tea concentrates, extracts or powders.</p> |
