PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine for a small planing boat, using less pipes for smoothing the flow of intake air from a supercharger while easily forming an opening space in a hull. SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine for the small planing boat with the supercharger 43 comprises an intercooler 42 arranged behind an internal combustion engine body 20A, and an intake pipe 40 ranging to cylinders, bent backward along the side face of the internal combustion engine body 20A and connected to a throttle body 41, the throttle body 41 being connected to the intercooler 42 while being turned around the back side of the internal combustion engine body 20A.
