PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing structure for an internal combustion engine integrally fastening two-split bearing portions with bolts, having reduced cost while securing good circularity of a circular hole for supporting a rotating shaft between both bearing portions. SOLUTION: In the bearing structure for the internal combustion engine, semicircular upper and lower cutout portions 8, 9 are formed in the upper and lower bearing portions 12, 13 which are formed of raw materials having almost the same thermal expansion coefficient, respectively. The bearing portions 12, 13 abut on the cutout portions 8, 9 to form the circular hole 5. In the state of rotatably supporting the rotating shaft S in the circular hole 5, they are integrally fastened together with the pair of bolts 14 arranged adjacent to the circular hole 5.
