PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interference preventive device of an offset type hydraulic excavator, properly controllable, while maintaining working efficiency, without imparting a sense of unease to an operator, by avoiding a speed change in a work machine unintended by the operator when retreating a work tool from a speed reduction area. SOLUTION: When a bucket intrudes in the speed reduction area by lifting operation of a lower boom by an interference preventive control limiting value calculating part 61c and a minimum value selecting part 61f of a control unit, a lifting speed of the lower boom is decelerated, and is controlled so as to stop the lower boom when the bucket reaches a stopping area. After intruding in the speed reduction area of the bucket by a shock reduction processing part 61e in a shock reduction control part, when the bucket retreats to a noninterfering area on the cab right side surface side by offset operation, the lifting speed of the lower boom is controlled so as to gradually return to a command speed.
