A process for manufacturing a copper alloy wire rod, comprising continuously performing the casting step of casting a melt of precipitation strengthening type copper alloy into a belt & wheel or twin-belt mobile mold to thereby obtain an ingot and the rolling step of rolling the ingot obtained by the casting step, wherein the intermediate of copper alloy wire rod in the course of the rolling step or immediately after the rolling step is quenched.
