A method for setting a beacon slot in a distributed wireless network and a device are provided to make an overall beacon section shorter by previously moving a beacon slot of a device to a front side of the beacon section before the device enters the hibernation state, thereby effectively using a super frame. An alternate device for exchanging a beacon slot is determined in a super frame in which a predetermined device is scheduled to start hibernation among devices which are using a beacon slot located in front of a beacon slot of the predetermined device(510,520). Based on the determination, the beacon slot of the predetermined device is changed(530). |
