A system for providing ventilation to rack-mounted computers includes a p lurality of rack-mounted computers on a plurality of motherboards each havin g a front end near a work space and a back end, a plurality of fans mounted near the back end of each of the plurality of motherboards and adapted to de liver heated air from the computers to a common warm-air plenum, and a plura lity of motor controllers coupled to the plurality of fans and adapted to ma intain a substantially constant exhaust temperature for each of the fans.
