A device and a method for managing terminals are provided to prevent task execution failure owing to unstable power supply and an erroneous operation owing to the task execution failure by analyzing information for executing a terminal management task and executing the terminal management task when enough power is supplied to the terminal. A terminal power checker(119) tests remainder of terminal power. A task execution controller(115) determines whether the remainder of the terminal power is sufficient to execute the terminal management task by comparing the checked remainder of the terminal power and a terminal management task execution time. A task executor(117) executes the terminal management task if the remainder of the terminal power is sufficient to execute the terminal management task. A terminal management task generator(103) generates the terminal task management task to be executed in the terminal. A task execution time setting part(105) measures and stores the terminal task management task to be executed in the terminal. The task executor outputs a message informing a user of shortage of the terminal power if the remainder of the terminal power is insufficient to execute the terminal management task.
