An artificial marble is provided to exhibit the same texture as natural marble, prevent a separation phenomenon of chips, and have stable physical properties. An artificial marble(1) comprises a ground region(1a) and chips. The chips are specific gravity-increased chips(10) obtained by increasing specific gravity of a low-specific-gravity material using a high-specific-gravity material, wherein the low-specific-gravity material has lower specific gravity than the ground region, and the high-specific-gravity material has higher specific gravity than the ground region. The specific gravity-increased chip includes a high specific gravity layer(12) formed of the high-specific-gravity material, and a low specific gravity layer(11) formed of the low-specific-gravity material. A whole specific gravity of the specific gravity-increased chips is 1.3 to 2.0 or 1.5 to 10.
