<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear guide way retaining device which induces higher rigidity so that transmitters do not drop in the equivalent materials or a cross section area by a higher tension given by dispensing a pre-stress to the end part of the retaining device. <P>SOLUTION: The linear guide way retaining device is arranged on an end cover corresponding to a power transmission way. Especially, an end part of a rod body of the retaining device is set up by a ring type structure corresponding with a two-piece concave bath of the end cover and if a fastening aperture is provided on the two-piece concave bath, tightening can be completed in the fastening aperture of the end cover by inserting the tightening member into the ring type structure.
