<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distance measurement sensor that can be operated in a CW mode for continuously transmitting and receiving a CW signal, and a pulse mode for transmitting and receiving the CW signal only for a prescribed time, and to provide a method for measuring distance with high precision by using a distance measurement sensor. <P>SOLUTION: The distance measurement sensor comprises: a first switch for controlling a power amplifier; a six-port circuit for receiving a reference signal and a reception one as own input signals and for generating distance information, expressed by the electric power of a high-frequency signal through the phase difference between two signals; a second switch, installed between a frequency-fixed oscillator and the six-port circuit for controlling the reference signal; and a central processing unit that converts the power of the high-frequency signal, generated from the six-port circuit, into a DC voltage for converting to data that can be subjected to arithmetic processings for calculation as distance data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
