PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering CO-containing gas from a reduction-melting furnace for increasing CO concentration in the CO-containing gas (calory in the gas is increased), in a method with which dust generated at an iron-making work and iron oxide-containing ferrous material such as iron ore are charged and melted into molten iron in the reduction-melting furnace. SOLUTION: The oxide is reduced by intermittently charginng the iron oxide-containing iron-base raw material and carbonaceous material into the reduction-melting furnace and also, this raw material is melted, and oxygen is blown into the above melting furnace and CO-containing gas is generated by partially burning the charged carbonaceous material and the carbonaceous material in the melting raw material, and the sucking amount of an induced draft fan (IDF) for sucking and recovering the CO-containing gas, is controlled in succession so that the CO concentration in this CO-containing gas is regulated to a prescribed concentration.
