PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding method capable of forming a plurality of tapered faces of an elastic workpiece simultaneously, or to provide a molding method for an elastic workpiece with a tapered face cut in a ring shape. SOLUTION: The molding method applied herein comprises a step of mounting the plate-like elastic workpiece 100 on the main face of a pedestal 20 in a manner straddling a pair of protrusions 21 arranged on the outer edge of a region crossing the moving direction of a pair of cutting edges 30 moving linearly, a step of pressing the workpiece 100 on the pedestal 20 between the pair of protrusions 21 while allowing that the workpiece 100 is elastically bent along the surfaces of shoulder parts of the pair of protrusions 21, and a step of moving the pair of cutting edges 30 from the workpiece 100 to the cross region, and cutting the elastic bent parts of the workpiece 100.
