<p>Disclosed is a method for the analysis of a vitamin E in a lipoprotein, comprising the steps of: subjecting a sample containing the lipoprotein to ion-exchange chromatography to separate the lipoprotein; reacting the separated lipoprotein with a pre-treatment solution containing an organic solvent and a surfactant to isolate the vitamin E in a free form; and subjecting the isolated vitamin E to reverse-phase chromatography. Also provided is a method for the determination of a disease condition such as a condition of diabetes, a risk of a coronary heart disease and a condition of myocardial infarction by employing a vitamin E contained in a lipoprotein as a measure.</p> |
