<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently reduce crosstalk in an optical module having a plurality of channels each processing or outputting an optical signal. <P>SOLUTION: The optical module is formed in such a way that a plurality of channels each consisting of an optical element 14, an integrated circuit 16, and a wiring 18 for connecting the integrated circuit 16 to the optical element 14 are formed on a substrate.
