<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device in which an image cache memory can be efficiently used. <P>SOLUTION: An image cache identifier generating unit 113 determines a hash value of a fixed length from sampled data of original image data and generates an image cache identifier specific to the original image data on the basis of the hash value of a fixed length. When the image cache identifier is generated, an image cache retrieving unit 114 inspects whether the image cache data to which the image cache identifier is imparted are stored in an image cache data memory unit 131 or not. When the image cache data are not stored in the image cache data memory unit 131, an image cache generating unit 151 imparts the image cache identifier generated by the image cache identifier generating unit 113 to the original image data to generate image cache data, and the image cache data are stored in the image cache data storage unit 131. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
