PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leak testing method that can apply to various sized vessels or various contained materials, when the contained component is a liquid, and to provide an apparatus. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing the blocked/containing vessel, the vessel is filled with a material having at least one liquid component; the vessel is blocked hermetically; and leak testing is applied to the vessel. When leak testing is applied, pressure difference is applied partially to the interior and the exterior of the vessel wall, by evacuating the surrounding space of the vessel; the pressure of the surrounding space is reduced to the vapor pressure of the liquid component or less; the pressure is reduced by a vacuum pump, until the pressure is substantially observed as a leakage determining signal, when the pressure of the surrounding space is observed as the leakage determining signal.
